Welcome to the United States Trager Association
The Trager Approach is a pleasurable, gentle and effective approach to movement education and mind/body integration; the effects are deep and long-lasting. Many people seek Trager sessions for personal growth or increased feelings of joy and wellness.
Dr. Milton Trager devoted his life to exploring the effects of these gentle movements on the nervous system, which he associated with the unconscious mind.
Trager Practitioner Roger Tolle had an interview with the author from Unbreak your Health- Alan Smith. This book is "the complete guide to different types of alternative medical concepts, different processes and techniques and a variety of healing devices."
Dr. Trager felt that...any restrictions in the body were directly related to some restriction in the way the mind worked...
The interview was recorded and is available for download. In this 20 minute interview Roger answers Alan's questions about The Trager Approach. Some of these questions include:
Who is Dr. Milton Trager and how did he develop his work?
What is the Trager Approach? There are two different aspects of the Trager Approach, if I understand it correctly: Tablework and Mentastics. How do they compliment each other?
Are there certain conditions that respond really well to the Trager Approach?
I hear that some people us Trager sessions for personal growth or increased feelings of joy or wellness instead of helping with physical problems. Is that true?
...as well as other questions about Trager. We encourage you to listen to this interview. It is full of information that you might find helpful.
